Excrept

"Have I seen who?" He decided playing dumb was his best course of action. Then again, maybe Buddy wasn't talking about Sarah, but someone else.

Sarah Yoder couldn't remember a time when she didn't have her eye on Jonah, and wondered if he will ever feel the way she does. One night they spent together changed the course of their lives.
They both had regrets and Sarah new that now being married to Jonah was only because  she was pregnant and he didn't and could never love her the way she hoped. Has she trapped Jonah? This is the question she continue to ask herself.

My Thoughts

Marrying Jonah is Lilliard's last book in her Wells Landing series. I believe that this is the best yet in this series. It makes me wonder what other stories Amy has been working on to capture my heart and the heart of her readers. In Marrying Jonah Lillard does a wonderful job bringing this story full circle that it will move through your heart and make you realize that there is always hope in all circumstances. I enjoyed reading this book and the writings of Amy Lillard she truly has a way of writing about the Amish and I look forward to her next book(s).

I was given a copy of this book for my review which I have given.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I live in Tulsa, though I was born in Mississippi. I moved to the Sooner State when I was seventeen and met my soul mate and best friend not long after. I’ve retained a little of my Mississippi accent though most people think I’m from Texas. (?)  Rob and I have been married for over twenty-five years and have a son–a mom proclaimed prodigy, of course!
I love homemade tacos, nail polish, and romance novels–not necessarily in that order. I’m a big fan of country music, a staunch proponent of saving the Oxford comma, and I’m shamefully obsessed with all things Harry Potter.
I dislike people trying to convince me to read the Twlight series (I’ll get to it or I won’t, either way I’m good with it), gratuitous violence, and strawberry ice cream. (I know I’m alone on this last one, and again, I’m good with it.)
Favorite movies–(besides HP) French Kiss, Maid of Honor, A Lot Like Love, Just Married, and Sweet Home Alabama. Oh, and Miss Congeniality, Sabrina (both versions) and a 1940’s movie called Dear Ruth. If you haven’t seen it, you should! A-dorable. Anything with Doris Day and most all of Marilyn’s and Audrey’s.

It is my pleasure and honor to have had Wanda answer a few questions for us. Thank you Wanda for taking the time out of your schedule to let us know what you have been doing and what inspires you to write.  Wanda Brunstetter Q&A QUESTION 1: When is the earliest that you remember having a passion for writing? Response: From the time I began reading I started writing short stories and poems. I had an imagination as a child. When I was in second grade I wrote a poem about a moth. My teacher thought it was good and said I might someday become an author. That little seed she planted encouraged me to keep writing. QUESTION 2: From all of the different genres that you could have chosen, how did you decide upon Amish life as your primary focus? Response: I chose the Amish life to write about because through my husband, who has a Mennonite background, I met and became friends with many Amish people, whom we have come to know and love. I have a d

First Light Tour and Giveaway

First Light in Morning Star by Charlotte Hubbard   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~   GENRE : Inspirational Romance (Amish)   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~   BLURB:   Founded by five enterprising Amish maidels, the new Morning Star Marketplace is a joyous success. What’s even more remarkable is the gift the business bestows upon each of these unmarried women—the unexpected blessing of love . . .   Leaving Flaud’s Furniture to teach at the community’s new school is a joy for Lydianne Christner. Old Order Amish, but new to Morning Star, she’s grateful that the congregation trusts her with the position—but she panics when handsome Bishop Jeremiah Shetler asks about the life she left behind. If anyone discovers the secret she’s hiding, she would, quite rightly, be shunned.   A widower, Bishop Jeremiah admires young Lydianne’s youthful energy and skill with the children. He’s also curious about her past, and the burden he senses on her heart. When his request to court her is refused, he’s stung, and lonelier than ever. It is
