Recipe Wednesday

I found out on Friday, mid afternoon that we were going to have our friends over for dinner. I knew exactly what I was going to make for dinner, but didn't have clue what to make for dessert. So to the cook books I went. Pulled out my Amish cookbooks and even some of grandmas recipes, but what I found will amaze you. It is a cookbook I got from my mother in law, and I am so glad I have it. It will now become my goto book when I need a quick and easy dessert.

Thats right I got my recipe right from this book and as I said, I will use this book for many things. I served this dessert with vanilla ice cream and it was so delicious. I would also change the size of the dish they have you use to bake in and use a 9x9 dish to give this dessert more height. I hope you try out this new recipe and let me know. Happy Baking.
