Earths Table

Food is more than sustenance. It’s heritage, healing, and home. In these pages, of Wandas Brunstetter's  book Farm to Table, you will  discover a celebration of simple abundance: recipes passed down through generations, the quiet beauty of rural life, and the deep connection between what we grow and how we live. Whether you're drawn in by the aroma of warm bread, the rhythm of planting seasons, or the stories held within every shared meal, this book invites you to slow down, gather close, and rediscover the richness that comes when we eat with intention and live in harmony with the earth.  Meet the Author:  Welcome to my writing world. It is my hope that you will not only enjoy a good story when reading one of my books, but will learn more about the Amish way of life. As I have come to know and love my special Amish Friends, I’ve been filled with the realization that, while they may live and dress differently than most of us “Englishers,” they experience the same joy...

A Forbidden Amish Courtship

About: Sammy Eicher isn't your typical Amish man-He's a risk taker and rebel. Roberta Kauffam is his best friend's younger sister - and completely off-limits. Roberta has had a crush on Sammy forever. But now that he's dating an   Englisher, she fears he'll never notice she exists. Bertie believes that with God, all things are possible. Will she be able to tame Sammy's wild side? Will Sammy and Bertie find their Amish happily ever after or will Bertie lose Sammy to the English world for good? My Thoughts: The first thing I loved about this story, was God being the center of each of the characters' lives.  This was a quick read and I truly enjoyed the story of Sammy and Roberta. Spredmann brings all things together in this story, by showing the weakness of each person and how much we need God and community in our lives. This makes for such a good story one that we can relate to. I was given a copy of the book and was under no obligation to write a review. ...

A Refreshing Story of Truth

Book 1 in the new  Friendship Letters  series A Simple Letter Carries Inspiration for Healing Life is good on their Pennsylvania Amish farm for newlyweds Vic and Eleanor Lapp—until a tragedy occurs, causing Vic to turn to alcohol in order to numb the pain. Things get so bad that Vic loses his job and their marriage is coming apart. Eleanor is desperate to help her husband and writes letters to her friend, Doretta, for advice. The trust Eleanor places in her friend and the gentle words she receives in return are a balm for even darker days to come in this first book of The Friendship Letters series by  New York Times  Bestselling Author Wanda E. Brunstetter.  My thoughts Letters of Trust is the first book in Wanda Brunstetter's new series, Friendship Letter series. This book is not what you think it may be about. I truly enjoyed reading this book and how Wanda brought real-life issues into this series that show how we are all human. I highly recommend this book. ...

Poor Lester and $15 Amazon Gifr Card

Fully awake now, Lester swung his feet to the dock. When he could get a word in edgewise, he needed to deflate Agnes’s high-flying hopes in a hurry, because in her vivid imagination, she was already standing before the bishop with him, repeating her wedding vows. As he opened his mouth to speak, however, another urgent female voice hailed him.   “Lester! Lester Lehman, it’s me—your Elverta!  I read about Gloria’s wedding in the paper, so it seemed like the perfect reason to come and see you!”   Lester moaned. His sense of freedom, peace, and unencumbered living had just hit another serious snag.   As the national newspaper for Plain communities, the Budget was a wonderful way to keep track of far-flung friends and kin, but he suddenly wished that Gloria—and Rosetta Wickey, their community’s original scribe—hadn’t been quite so descriptive in detailing the Lehman family’s relocation. The tiny town of Promise, Missouri was out in the middle of nowhere, yet Agnes ...

Cicada Season

Hannah Troyer thinks she can do it all, but it’s clear the young woman needs help with the apple harvest this year. The local bakers have an idea of how to remedy that. Throw in a handsome, overly confident, Leon Milford, and let the sparks fly. It will be the craziest summer ever to hit Miller’s Creek, but who doesn’t like a good challenge? First, let me start off by saying I had the pleasure of meeting Mindy in Lancaster, Pa this past Fall.  She was a new author to me and I am so glad I was able to meet her in person. What a delight.  REVIEW Cicada Season is book 3 in the Series Miller Creek. It was so refreshing to be in Kentucky where the setting of this story takes place. I am sure many of us could truly relate to Hannah. Wanting to do everything on her own and thinking she can do it all. Well, we all know that is not the case. The sayings "many hands make light work" always comes to my mind when I face challenges.  Let me get to the point. This was a wonde...

Okay, so here we go this is what Laura had to say: 1.       Laura, can you please let us know what type of jokes were you dabbling in while you were a girl scout? If you still have these jokes could you please share some with us?     Oh. Wow. We’re in the process of moving from NY to SC and our house is still a few months away from being comp...
