Promise Lodge is Book 1 in this series. If there is one word to describe Charlotte Hubbard's book it would be: awe-inspiring.

Hubbard takes us to Promise Lodge, where we will meet widower, Rosetta Binder and her sisters. These women decide to walk by faith and leave behind their home and set out on a new journey.

Rosetta sees Promise Lodge as a place where other widows and single women can come and live to find peace and new beginnings.

Throughout the story, Rosetta and her sisters demonstrate great faith, courage and determination. Though they experiences highs and low, they continue to stay resilient in their faith, and find a way to inspire us through their strength.

Charlotte Hubbard does a remarkable job bringing each character to life, and through each character reminds us of the love God has for us.

Charlotte has become one of my favorite authors who I can't seem to get enough of. I eagerly await reading each new release and am looking forward to the next book in this series. Look for the release of Promise Lodge February 26, 2016.

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley for my honest review

  1. Miss Tina, I just finished Promised Lodge and I have decided I want to visit on vacation and meet these inspirational residents! I loved the "family" ties, even among non blood family. I love the way that Charlotte made them so real that I feel I know them personally. I will miss them until the next book in the series.

Wanda Brunstetter Q&A and Giveaway!

It is my pleasure and honor to have had Wanda answer a few questions for us. Thank you Wanda for taking the time out of your schedule to let us know what you have been doing and what inspires you to write.  Wanda Brunstetter Q&A QUESTION 1: When is the earliest that you remember having a passion for writing? Response: From the time I began reading I started writing short stories and poems. I had an imagination as a child. When I was in second grade I wrote a poem about a moth. My teacher thought it was good and said I might someday become an author. That little seed she planted encouraged me to keep writing. QUESTION 2: From all of the different genres that you could have chosen, how did you decide upon Amish life as your primary focus? Response: I chose the Amish life to write about because through my husband, who has a Mennonite background, I met and became friends with many Amish people, whom we have come to know and love. I have a d

Weddings at Promise Lodge by Charlotte Hubbard ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ GENRE : Inspirational (romance) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BLURB: When Bishop Monroe is forced to confess the truth about his relationship with young Leola before the entire congregation, he can only pray that open hearts and minds will allow him a future at Promise Lodge—with Christine. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ EXCERPTS As Christine Hershberger sat on the front pew bench, close enough to bask in the glow of her sister Mattie’s joy, she smiled brightly. At long last, she was attending the wedding that should’ve taken place years ago, when Mattie Bender and Amos Troyer were young and so deeply in love¬—before Dat had insisted that Mattie marry Marvin Schwartz instead. Now that Mattie and Preacher Amos had outlived their original mates, they were standing together, hand in hand, repeating the age-old vows after their new bishop, Monroe Burkholder. First Light Tour and Giveaway

First Light in Morning Star by Charlotte Hubbard   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~   GENRE : Inspirational Romance (Amish)   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~   BLURB:   Founded by five enterprising Amish maidels, the new Morning Star Marketplace is a joyous success. What’s even more remarkable is the gift the business bestows upon each of these unmarried women—the unexpected blessing of love . . .   Leaving Flaud’s Furniture to teach at the community’s new school is a joy for Lydianne Christner. Old Order Amish, but new to Morning Star, she’s grateful that the congregation trusts her with the position—but she panics when handsome Bishop Jeremiah Shetler asks about the life she left behind. If anyone discovers the secret she’s hiding, she would, quite rightly, be shunned.   A widower, Bishop Jeremiah admires young Lydianne’s youthful energy and skill with the children. He’s also curious about her past, and the burden he senses on her heart. When his request to court her is refused, he’s stung, and lonelier than ever. It is
