The Celebration

Wanda Brunstetter has been at it again with her new release of Amish Cooking Class The Celerbration. In this book Heidi Troyer is at again teaching her cooking class, but this time the students will be the biggest surprise as well as each of the other characters.  I must say, I thought this was the best book so far in this series. Wanda truly impressed me with the way she captures each character and makes you either love them or not. As always, Wanda brings her stories full circle and gives Glory to God. I was given a copy of this book from the publisher for my honest review for which I have given. Recipe Wednesday

I found out on Friday, mid afternoon that we were going to have our friends over for dinner. I knew exactly what I was going to make for dinner, but didn't have clue what to make for dessert. So to the cook books I went.  Pulled out my Amish cookbooks and even some of grandmas recipes, but what I found will amaze you. It is a cookbook I got from my mother in law, and I am so glad I have it. It will now become my goto book when I need a quick and easy dessert. Thats right I got my recipe right from this book and as I said, I will use this book for many things. I served this dessert with vanilla ice cream and it was so delicious.  I would also change the size of the dish they have you use to bake in and use a 9x9 dish to give this dessert more height. I hope you try out this new recipe and let me know. Happy Baking. RECIPE AND PICTURE
A Letter From Lancaster County will take you on a journey and you will have the pleasure of meeting sisters, Angela and Rose. These two seemed as distance and opposites as the seasons. Will these two come to an understanding or will their difference keep them apart. I very much enjoyed this story and the way Kate Lloyd introduced the characters. She filled this story with love, honor and compassion. I look forward to read more from Kate Lloyd. I was given an eletcronic copy of this book for a review for which I have been given.
