My thoughts

This is a story of great faith, fear and truth and how all of these things will effect several in this lovely community of Willow Springs.

New book and new author for me. Secrets of Willow Springs Book 1 written by Tracy Fredrychowski was a nice surprise when I turned the pages and engaged in this wonderful story. I thought not only was this a great book, but also an easy read and I am looking forward to Book 2 in this series. I would recommend this book and whoever reads it I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.

About the Author

Meet Tracy Fredrychowski, Author

Tracy Fredrychowski
Country girl, author, homesteader and anything simple living is what I love! I have a passion for writing about the simpler side of life, much like the life I lived growing up in rural Pennsylvania.
My life has always been intertwined with the Amish culture, and it’s only fitting that I have a genuine passion for their simplicity, sense of community and God-centered life.
Growing up in Northwest Pennsylvania I spent my childhood immersed deep in Amish Country.  The clip-clop of horse and buggies woke me each morning as Amish men drove past my childhood home on their way to work. As a young woman, I was traumatized by an Amish murder that involved my family and changed my life forever. (If you want to read about it, please read Crimson Stain by Jim Fisher and take note that Jake, who was an essential part of that true story was my uncle.)
Even though we currently live in South Carolina our travels take us through Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, and Wisconisn’s Amish Country every year. During those stops, I research the communities we visit and I pride myself on writing Amish fiction that truly represents the Amish culture. I am very fortunate to have made friends in these communities and value the information they share with me and want nothing more than to share it as accurately as possible.
If you are intrigued by the Amish lifestyle, then I invite you to follow me on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and check back here often for new short stories, and information on new book releases.

Response: From the time I began reading I started writing short stories and poems. I had an imagination as a child. When I was in second grade I wrote a poem about a moth. My teacher thought it was good and said I might someday become an author. That little seed she planted encouraged me to keep writing. QUESTION 2: From all of the different genres that you could have chosen, how did you decide upon Amish life as your primary focus? Response: I chose the Amish life to write about because through my husband, who has a Mennonite background, I met and became friends with many Amish people, whom we have come to know and love. I have...

Something Old by Diane Christner   Something Old , the first book in a series of Plain City Bridesmaid, takes place in Plain City , Ohio , where young Katy Yoder is living her life as a Conservative Mennonite. Nursing a heart broken by her love Jake Byler when he left the faith, Katy moves on and recovers in a life of peace and simplicity. That is, until her world becomes turbulent when Jake returns seeking redemption from the church and forgiveness from her heart.   Confused, angry, and torn, Katy faces a difficult test of faith as she seeks the strength of God to forgive a man who hurt her so deeply. Her journey is one that is painfully familiar, the struggle to forgive those who have wounded us. It is in these times that we are vulnerable to temptation, to weakness of spirit, and indulgence in anger. Katy's story is one of courage that shows us how faith can show us the way, even when  we wonder if God is listening. A w...
