Far Away From Home

Won't you come travel with me to Mulberry, Indiana and meet Sadie, Barbara, Ellen and Mandy. Best of friends living Amish. These young ladies decide to embark on a journey of a life time, with a cruise to the Hawaiian Islands. The girls have been so excited about the trip that's all they could talk about. They have plans on what they would see and do, but two of them didn't expect to miss their ship that left them stranded on one of the islands.

When Ellen and Mandy missed their ship they found their way to a Bed and Breakfast on the island.  It is there they meet a lovely couple Makaio and Luna Palu who are the owners of the B&B and a young man named Ken, who seems to have captured Mandy's attention and makes Mandy forget about Gideon for the time. Plans change when Makaio has an unfortunate accident that leaves Luna left to run things by her self until her husband recovers.  Mandy and Ellen decide to stay on as long as necessary to help Luna run the B&B until Makaio recovers. It is during this time Mandy and  Ken seem to becoming more then just friends and Ellen is concerned for her friend and where she may end up if Makaio isn't better soon.

As Mandy becomes conflicted with here feelings about joining the Amish church she is also conflicted about Gideon and returning home to Indiana.  Ellen wonders when will they be able to return home? Will Makaio ever get better.? To find out what happens pick up your copy today you won't be disappointed.

Wanda Brunstetter Q&A and Giveaway!

It is my pleasure and honor to have had Wanda answer a few questions for us. Response: From the time I began reading I started writing short stories and poems. I had an imagination as a child. When I was in second grade I wrote a poem about a moth. My teacher thought it was good and said I might someday become an author. That little seed she planted encouraged me to keep writing. QUESTION 2: From all of the different genres that you could have chosen, how did you decide upon Amish life as your primary focus? Response: I chose the Amish life to write about because through my husband, who has a Mennonite background, I met and became friends with many Amish people, whom we have come to know and love. I have...

Something Old by Diane Christner   Something Old , the first book in a series of Plain City Bridesmaid, takes place in Plain City , Ohio , where young Katy Yoder is living her life as a Conservative Mennonite. Nursing a heart broken by her love Jake Byler when he left the faith, Katy moves on and recovers in a life of peace and simplicity. That is, until her world becomes turbulent when Jake returns seeking redemption from the church and forgiveness from her heart.   Confused, angry, and torn, Katy faces a difficult test of faith as she seeks the strength of God to forgive a man who hurt her so deeply. Her journey is one that is painfully familiar, the struggle to forgive those who have wounded us. It is in these times that we are vulnerable to temptation, to weakness of spirit, and indulgence in anger. Katy's story is one of courage that shows us how faith can show us the way, even when  we wonder if God is listening. A w...
