Waiting on Gods Timing

Excerpt

''Mattie they've checked Amos into the hospital for observations, "he said in a low voice. She frowned. "And what exactly does that mean?" The nurse, a young blonde who wore loose burgundy pants and a matching shirt, gazed at her over the top of the high counter. Her badge said Melody. Mr. Troyer is still unconscious," she replied. "Dr. Townsend has ordered a series of tests to determine if she has brain or other internal injuries.

Are you ready to return to Promise Lodge?  Well, what are you waiting for, grab your blanket a cup of tea, maybe a few tissues because you may need them as we travel back to Promise Lodge.

When Amos and Mattie lost their spouses a few years back they wondered if they would find love again. They both remembered how they once use to be sweet on each other when they were younger and wonder now, if this could be a second chance for the both of them and if they could recapture the love they once shared. It didn't take much time before Amos and Mattie claimed their love for one  another. They quickly found themselves on their way to getting married. When the news of this happy occasion spread through Promise Lodge it didn't take long for everyone to come together and celebrate the happy couple. Then, in a split second, it happens, and Mattie's future is changed forever.

I don't want to give anything away, but as you read its easy to admire Mattie. She's an example of not letting fear take over, staying in prayer, and learning to wait for God's timing.

This has been another wonderful read from Charlotte Hubbard. Each of these characters (friends) at Promise Lodge truly feel like family and my hope is that you will love them as much as I do. Thank you Charlotte, for your continued writings that touch many lives. I am looking forward to what happens next at Promise Lodge, the possibilities seem endless.

You can pick up a copy of Christmas at Promise Lodge September 27, 2016 for yourself and for a gift.

I was given a copy of this book for my review.

Thank you Wanda for taking the time out of your schedule to let us know what you have been doing and what inspires you to write.  Wanda Brunstetter Q&A QUESTION 1: When is the earliest that you remember having a passion for writing? Response: From the time I began reading I started writing short stories and poems. I had an imagination as a child. When I was in second grade I wrote a poem about a moth. My teacher thought it was good and said I might someday become an author. That little seed she planted encouraged me to keep writing. QUESTION 2: From all of the different genres that you could have chosen, how did you decide upon Amish life as your primary focus? Response: I chose the Amish life to write about because through my husband, who has a Mennonite background, I met and became friends with many Amish people, whom we have come to know and love. I have...

Something Old by Diane Christner   Something Old , the first book in a series of Plain City Bridesmaid, takes place in Plain City , Ohio , where young Katy Yoder is living her life as a Conservative Mennonite. Nursing a heart broken by her love Jake Byler when he left the faith, Katy moves on and recovers in a life of peace and simplicity. That is, until her world becomes turbulent when Jake returns seeking redemption from the church and forgiveness from her heart.   Confused, angry, and torn, Katy faces a difficult test of faith as she seeks the strength of God to forgive a man who hurt her so deeply. Her journey is one that is painfully familiar, the struggle to forgive those who have wounded us. It is in these times that we are vulnerable to temptation, to weakness of spirit, and indulgence in anger. Katy's story is one of courage that shows us how faith can show us the way, even when  we wonder if God is listening. A w...
